CHICAGO, IL – Technology Association of Grantmakers (TAG) is now part of FBRK (pronounced fabric) Impact House, the city’s first innovation-focused philanthropy hub, founded by Israel Idonije, entrepreneur, humanitarian and former NFL player as the result of a shared vision with The Field Foundation of Illinois, Woods Fund, United States Artists and Forefront, with the core desire to unify Chicago’s Impact Community, break down silos, encourage collaboration and provide greater access to opportunities.
“We are excited to welcome Technology Association of Grantmakers to Impact House. The work they do powering the philanthropic sector with technology is transformative,” said Idonije. “We are building an open community where it’s easy to interact with those in philanthropy. Impact House offers a variety of spaces to connect and various opportunities for members to exchange ideas, learn together and share resources for more equitable distribution of funds and assistance to nonprofits and individuals.”
“Advancing funder collaboration on shared technology initiatives is at the heart of our mission, said Chantal Forster, Executive Director of TAG. “Joining Impact House enables us to better support our members and philanthropy more broadly through their core commitment to cross-funder cooperation. Moreover, as a minority-owned business, the Impact House is a force of change within philanthropy itself at a time when change is more welcome than ever before. We are honored to support the work of Israel Idonije and members of the Impact House by joining.”
FBRK Impact House opened its doors in March with many prestigious organizations in its inaugural community committed to working together more transparently and collaboratively to bring more benefit to Chicago communities most in need. In addition to the aforementioned anchor tenants, Impact House is home to A Better Chicago, Chicago Public Library Foundation, Children First Fund, Pillars Fund, Enrich Chicago, The Academy Group, Alka & Ajay Gupta Foundation and the Knight Family Foundation.
Grant makers, family foundations and impact investors are able to apply for membership to the FBRK Impact House community and take advantage of the numerous amenities and opportunities through an annual Access Membership.
